Speaker 1:

Hey there. Where in your life do you experience joy? Take a moment to connect with the prompt. Maybe take a deep breath and close your eyes as I ask you again when in your life do you experience joy? As you visualize these moments in your life that bring you joy, take a moment to embody the feeling. It may be something you experienced long ago, or as recently as today. Whatever it is, I want you to tap into what joy feels like. Maybe it's making eye contact with someone you love or seeing your dog run in the park. Maybe. Maybe it's bursting into spontaneous, uncontrollable laughter with a friend, or reuniting with someone you haven't seen in a long time. Maybe you find joy in unexpected places. What does it feel like? What does it feel like?

Speaker 1:

We so often look for happiness in the future I'll be happy when and attach it to something that we have yet to attain, but what we overlook is that there's a deep well of joy that we have inside us. All the time. We create joy by keeping our eyes, our hearts and our minds wide open. Think about something that makes you joyful right now, in this moment. You might surprise yourself. Do you feel how you can tap into that the endless. Well, Even if we're not experiencing it in this moment, we can access that feeling. It doesn't leave us. We can access that feeling. It doesn't leave us.

Speaker 1:

I want to share something with you that I read. It's a story about a teacher who gave a balloon to every student who had to inflate it and write their name on it and then throw it into the hallway. This teacher then mixed all the balloons into the hallway. This teacher then mixed all the balloons. Imagine a hallway in a school completely filled with mixed balloons.

Speaker 1:

The students were then given five minutes to find their own balloon the balloon with their name on it but despite a hectic search, no one found their balloon. At that point, the teacher told the students to take the first balloon that they found and hand it to the person whose name was written on the balloon. And you know what? Within five minutes, everyone had their own balloon again. The teacher said to the students these balloons are like happiness. We will never find it if everyone is looking for their own, but if we care about other people's happiness, we'll find ours too. What's one thing you can do right now that will create joy? Go out and create joy. I'm Lisa Hopkins. Thanks so much for listening. Stay safe and healthy everyone, and remember to live in the moment.
