Lisa Hopkins:

Hey there, if you might be looking for a little more peace and serenity in your world right now, here's a five-minute meditation that might just do the trick. We're going to center on love and peace and finding serenity, so find a comfortable seated position or lie down whatever feels right for you in this moment, just ensuring that your spine is straight. When you're comfortable, go ahead and close your eyes gently and take a deep, deep breath in through your nose, feeling your lungs expand, and exhale slowly through your mouth, letting any tension melt away. I'm going to repeat this, breathing two more times, breathing in deeply, inhaling peace and exhaling stress. I want you to shift your awareness now to your body. Feel the weight of your body as it is supported by the chair or the surface beneath you. Imagine roots extending from your body into the earth, anchoring you in the earth's grounding energy and, with each exhale, let go of any scattered thoughts. Again, with each inhale, visualize drawing in the earth's grounding energy and, on the exhale, let go of any scattered, messy thoughts.

Lisa Hopkins:

Now I want you to bring to mind someone or something that you deeply love, or gratitude, expanding in your chest and radiating warmth like a soft, glowing light. Allow this light to grow, filling your entire body with its soothing presence. Visualize the light of love and peace expanding now beyond your body. Imagine this light traveling outward from your center, outward, touching towards those you care about, and then extending further to your community, your city, your country and the world.

Lisa Hopkins:

Country and the world Silently repeating may all beings be happy, may all beings be safe, may all beings be at peace. Now draw your attention back to yourself. Feel the loving energy you sent outward flowing back to you now, a reminder that peace begins within. Rest in the stillness of this moment, knowing that your light and love make a difference in the world. Breathe in serenity and exhale harmony, gently bringing your awareness to the sounds around you and sensations in your body. Now Wiggle your fingers and toes, bringing movement back into your body. Take a final deep breath in and, as you exhale, open your eyes, carrying this sense of peace and love with you into your day. Namaste, my friends.
