π‘ Coaching Insights: Moving Wholeheartedly Toward What Matters Most
Let us know what you enjoy about the show!
Have you ever caught yourself qualifying your biggest dreams with hesitant language? "Maybe we'd be celebrating... I mean, for me..." These verbal hedges reveal how we protect ourselves from fully embracing what we truly want.
This transformative conversation explores what happens when we shift into "the land of possibility" β not a magical place where every dream comes true, but a mindset where we give ourselves permission to move wholeheartedly toward what matters most. When discussing a Broadway debut dream, we uncover how quickly we downplay our deepest desires, afraid to claim them fully. But what if the result became "the cherry on top" rather than the sole measure of success?
The most powerful insight emerges around the mirror test: "At the end of the day, when you look in the mirror, what would make you feel best?" This simple question cuts through external expectations, bringing you back to what truly matters to you. No decision is inherently right or wrong β only right or wrong for you. Understanding your personal "why" beyond external validation creates sustainable motivation that carries you through challenges.
Whether you're pursuing a Broadway career or any meaningful goal, remember: "It's you that is going to take you there, no one else." There will be gatekeepers and obstacles, but ultimately, your journey is yours alone. What reflection would make you feel best when you look in the mirror tonight? Share your thoughts and join our conversation about moving beyond binary thinking into the rich landscape of possibility where your authentic path awaits.

So say I don't know, say we're coaching for a year, year from now, you're talking to me and things have like completely sort of fallen into place, changed. You know you're really riding high. What would need to happen? What would you be sharing with me? What would we be celebrating?
Speaker 2:I mean I want to say, in a year from now, you know I, maybe we're celebrating. I mean for me, I mean a Broadway debut has been like always like the one of the top things that you know I've always wanted you know my whole life. So I want to say, you know, I know.
Speaker 1:By the way, don't apologize when you tell me this is your gift. Okay, so I'm your genie. And what will we be celebrating? Just try to embody the celebration, go there and make it real.
Speaker 1:You immediately had a caveat of well, I've wanted to do it my whole life and you know it'd be so good because it's so hard to get there and if I did it it would be, I'd be so proud. But I want to hear, like the, why the hell you want to do that? So when you're like I'd be, you know the curtain would be coming down, but the audience hasn't stopped. I mean, if that's your thing, it might not be your thing. It might be that you you know it quietly went down and I went into my dressing room and and I knew that I did my best. There's no right, like you know, don't go for all the applause or whatever you also started with.
Speaker 1:Maybe we'd be celebrating and what we'll do together is shift into the land of possibility. Now, the land of possibility doesn't mean that all those things that you're considering to be possible are gonna happen, because we're not God, I mean, you know. But we can move wholeheartedly in the direction of, and when we move wholeheartedly towards anything, the result kind of slips away. The result is like the cherry on top right, whatever manifests from that. But does that make sense? Because you're living wholeheartedly on the way, you're enjoying the journey, you're playing full out, you're living up to all your values and you're working towards a worthy goal.
Speaker 1:You know something that's important to you, and why it's important to you is of ultimate importance, because it's different for everybody and it's you that is going to take you there, no one else. It's you that is going to take you there, no one else. There will be things that stand in your way and gatekeepers and things like that, but again, it's you. At the end of the day, it's you that looks in the mirror. I often say to my clients if it's a decision you're making or if it's an in-the-moment thing, it's like, at the end of the day, when you look in the mirror, when you go to bed, what would make you feel best? Because bed? What would make you feel best Because?
Speaker 2:it's you that's got to live with it, and no decisions are right or wrong.
Speaker 1:They have to be right for you or wrong for you. And there's everything in between, which is where we start to go. Oh wait, that's the land of possibility, because what else is true, whatever it might be? There's so many layers available to us. But we're like, if I get Broadway or I don't get Broadway right, of course I mean totally worthy goal. You know you're a professional singer, of course you'd want to get in a Broadway show for all the obvious reasons, but talk to me about why it's important to you and what's going to make you happy once you get there. Because if you don't know why like, really why besides the obvious then it becomes not as sustainable. Mm.
