Speaker 1:

Hey there. So today's meditation is about reigniting your creative spark. You know, I believe that we all have a creative spark. It's just sometimes it feels like it's not burning very brightly. There are so many things that threaten to keep us blocked or keep us safe or keep us in the land of should Should I do this? I should do that, and we feel disconnected from our reasons why and when we felt successful creatively. It can actually make us feel scared. It can make us feel, well, like maybe we won't be able to do it again as well as we did it before, or, you know, the next one won't be as good as it was, whether it's a book or a painting or a show, or even a conversation. Or, you know, it doesn't have to apply specifically to art. Staying connected to our creative self is so very important and it has nothing to do with your resume, it has nothing to do with what you did before or what you'll do in the future. It has to do with tapping into that intuition, that inner knowing, to trusting, to letting go of judgment, judgment of self. Quite frankly, don't compare yourself to yourself, my goodness. So this meditation, I hope, will help you reconnect, reignite that beautiful inner spark of yours, that beautiful inner spark of yours. So, wherever you are, let yourself land fully into this moment, feel your body supported by the surface beneath you, and just let your shoulders drop, your jaw soften and your breath slow down. Take a nice deep inhale and exhale with a gentle sigh. Again, inhaling and exhaling, just let yourself arrive, not as who you think you need to be, but exactly as you are. Exactly as you are Now.

Speaker 1:

Gently close your eyes, if you haven't already, and bring to mind a time when you felt creatively alive. Maybe you were writing, dancing, painting, singing, dreaming. Maybe it was something quiet and simple, arranging flowers or telling a story, cooking a meal. See if you can drop yourself back into that moment, to the colors and sounds and smells, textures. What can you see? What can you hear? Are you warm or cold here? Are you warm or cold? Who was around you? Was it calm or exciting? What did it feel like? What did it feel like in your body? Let your breath help you paint the scene. Really embody that time when you felt creatively alive. Drop yourself into that moment, allowing your breath to help you paint the scene. Can you feel your heart opening slightly? Maybe there's a warmth in your chest or a gentle buzz of energy in your hands or your body, whatever it is, you're remembering what's already within you. That creative spark is not gone, not by any means. It may be resting, but it is still very much alive.

Speaker 1:

Gently place a hand on your heart or your belly, wherever you feel called, and ask yourself what is my creative spark trying to tell me right now? Imagine the spark like a firefly, personified, like Tinkerbell in Peter Pan, a beautiful little muse. What is my creative spark trying to tell me right now? Let the question linger and imagine the beautiful wings of your creative fairy. What would I create if I didn't need it to be good or perfect or understood? What would I create if I knew I couldn't fail?

Speaker 1:

You might want to journal these reflections after the meditation or simply hold them gently in your awareness. Sometimes, just embodying this feeling and the sensation of your hand on your chest or your belly or your palms together can generate this feeling again and now, let's play for a moment. Imagine you're standing before a blank canvas, but instead of paint you're using light, colorful, fluid, living energy. What colors appear? What shapes emerge? No pressure, no judgment, just play, just your energy in motion. Let it swirl and splash and stretch and surprise you. If you want to give it a soundtrack, go ahead. Imagine the music. Let it fill you. Imagine the music, let it fill you Swirling and splashing, stretching and spinning, surprising you each time. Beautiful, energetic light. This is creativity as freedom. This is creativity as feeling, as expression. Now, inhale and imagine drawing that energy in through your fingertips. Exhale and feel it move through your body like a current, an energetic current clearing space you are reigniting from within.

Speaker 1:

Now, gently, bring your mind to a belief that maybe you've held about your creativity that no longer serves you. Maybe it's I don't have time to be creative, or I'm not creative enough. It's too late, I don't have time. What's the point? Acknowledge the belief. What's the point? Acknowledge the belief, honor its history. Now let's repurpose this energy.

Speaker 1:

Take a deep breath in and, as you exhale, whisper to yourself. Take a deep breath in and, as you exhale, whisper to yourself. My creativity shows up in ways that are unique, powerful and meaningful to me. My spark is still here and I get to fan the flame. And, as we begin to close, ask yourself what's one small creative act I can choose today that's just for me. It might be writing one sentence, singing one verse, trying something new or simply letting your mind wander. Creativity doesn't have to be loud, and sometimes the spark is in the whisper. Take one more deep breath and place both hands over your heart. When you're ready, gently blink your eyes open. Welcome back. The spark is still here in you and it's yours to tend, and it loves to be acknowledged. It's an important part of you. My friends, you can return to this meditation any time that you're feeling further away from your spark, as a reminder that, well, you create the spark and you've opened up the access to it today. Be well, I'm looking forward to knowing what you created. Take care, namaste.
