Hey there, wherever you are right now, this is an invitation to take a moment to get comfortable, to allow your body to settle, your shoulders to drop and your breath to deepen. Today's meditation is for moments when you want to gently awaken your creativity, to feel the warmth of inspiration and the excitement of possibility. It's a beautiful way to start your week, to center yourself before work or to reset before beginning a creative project. There's nothing to force here, no deadlines, no pressure Again, just an open invitation to meet the spark that already lives within you. Let's start by grounding ourselves with three slow breaths In through your nose and out through your mouth. Again in through your nose and out through your mouth. One more time, breathing in possibility and releasing anything you don't need right now. Let's bring our attention to the crown of your head and slowly scan down through your body, relaxing your forehead, your jaw, your neck and your shoulders. Feel the weight of your arms, the rise and fall of your chest, the grounding of your arms, the rise and fall of your chest, the grounding of your hips and legs, all the way down to the soles of your feet. If you've been sitting and it feels right, then go ahead and keep sitting. If you're lying down, that's okay, and if you'd rather stand, then go ahead and stand. This is your moment to adjust your position so that you can fully benefit from this meditation, whatever's best for you. And I want you again to feel the weight of your arms, the rise and fall of your chest, the grounding of your hips and legs, all the way down to the soles of your feet, as your mind begins to slow, notice the subtle hum of energy, your energy. It's always here, quiet, waiting and ready. Take a deep breath in here. Ah, and a big exhale, a sigh of readiness.
Speaker 1:Imagine you're in a dim, quiet space. Maybe a forest clearing at dusk, maybe a dressing room or a backstage area filled with soft shadows, or a cozy room with a wooden table. It's a dim and quiet space. Allow your mind to visualize this space and take you there. If your mind starts to wander, bring it back to this visualization of this beautiful, quiet space. It could be imaginary or real. And on that table, imagine that on that table rests a single, unlit candle.
Speaker 1:You reach out, feeling its smooth surface beneath your fingertips, and next to it is a small box of matches. Pick up the box, intentionally, opening it, noticing what the matches look like Quiet and unaffected. It's hard to imagine that these little things can cause quite a fire. And gently, choose one of the matches and strike it gently, the tip catches with a soft whoosh and you see the small flame dancing at the match's edge. You bring it to the candle's wick and, as the flame transfers, you watch it begin to glow warm light spilling across the space around you. You blow the match out, having transferred the flame, and with each inhale that light grows brighter. With each exhale, you feel yourself relaxing even more.
Speaker 1:The candlelight begins to reveal the beauty that surrounds you, things you haven't noticed, colors you love, textures that feel comforting, perhaps sounds or scents that spark ideas. There's no rush to name them or make sense of them, just simply notice, stare at the flame and connect to it. Imagine that the flame is your creative energy, steady, alive, and yours to tend. Now let the candle's flame settle into a steady, vibrant glow. It's not burning out, it's not consuming, it's simply sustaining. Steady, ready whenever you are, place a hand over your heart and feel the warmth there. This spark is yours. It never truly goes out. Anytime you wish, you can return to this place and light it again. Take a moment to welcome one small idea or insight that you've had so far. Allow an image or a feeling come into your awareness, something that you'll carry with you into the rest of your day. With you into the rest of your day.
Speaker 1:If you're feeling unfocused at any point, visualize that steady candle flame in that quiet space. Bring it back to your mind and know that that steadiness, that light, that energy, that fire is within you. Let's take three final slow breaths, inhaling the light in your space, in the world, and exhaling gratitude, joy, possibility. Bringing yourself now back to that grounded place, physically standing in the room, wherever you are.
Speaker 1:If you're not already standing, I encourage you to stand up eyes still closed, if it feels right, and extend both arms as far as they can down into the ground next to your legs and then, as if they could reach forever and ever out to your sides, left and right, slowly lift them up past your ribs and your shoulders and your neck, extending far up to the sky, and then lift your chin to feel the beam of light, the flame that is you. Chin to feel the beam of light, the flame that is you, the energy coming from the floor and below the floor into the earth, all the way up through your center, all the way through the top of your head arms to the sky. You feel as if you could extend in both directions forever and ever. Directions forever and ever.
Speaker 1:Now, opening your chest as your arms expand even wider, as they open to receive Palms up, lowering slowly down past your ears, extending long your shoulders, your ribs, your waist, and now down by your side. Roll your shoulders back, take a deep breath in here I'm going to count to five, four, three, two and one, gently opening your eyes. You are here in this moment, you have have refreshed, you are focused and you are ready to return to your day, knowing that your creative spark, your focus, your energy is alive and ready to shine. Namaste, my friends.
