STOPTIME: Live in the Moment.

Guided Visualization For Trust, Ease, And Possibility

Lisa Hopkins, Wide Open Stages Season 15 Episode 11

Let us know what you enjoy about the show!

What if the change you want doesn’t require a leap, just a quiet step toward a familiar doorway? We guide you through a calm, sensory-rich visualization designed to slow your breath, soften your body, and open the mental space where clarity tends to appear. You’ll build an inner room that feels safe, notice the quality of light and air, and approach a doorway that leads to the version of you who has already said yes to a possibility you’ve been holding at arm’s length.

Together, we pause at the threshold and let the body lead—feeling the ground, steadying the heart, and letting curiosity take the place of certainty. On the other side waits your future self: clear-eyed, grounded, and generous. You’ll study their posture and presence, receive a message in whatever form feels natural—words, image, or sensation—and accept a small symbolic gift that captures the possibility waiting for you. That token becomes a portable reminder you can carry into daily life, a touchstone for trust when resistance shows up.

Rather than chasing a dramatic overhaul, we honor subtle shifts: a softer breath, a tiny opening, a willingness to try. The practice closes with a gentle return to the room, an affirmation over your heart, and a felt sense that the small yes you made already opened a door. If you’ve been craving ease, clarity, and a kinder way to move forward, press play and meet the you who chose expansion. Subscribe for more guided practices, share this with someone who needs a calm reset, and leave a review to tell us what message your future self offered.

SPEAKER_00:

Hey there. This week I'm going to do a guided visualization. So find yourself somewhere comfortable and allow your body to just survive and settle. So that you can take it in. And when you're ready, close your eyes. Take a few breaths here. Nice and slow in and holding at the top and exhaling with a sigh. A couple more of those. Let your shoulders soften. Allow your jaw to unclench.

SPEAKER_01:

And your belly to relax. This time's just for you.

SPEAKER_00:

I know sometimes these moments are rare, but the fact that you're here listening to my voice means that you've set the intention to really be here with me.

SPEAKER_01:

And allow this short time together to expand.

SPEAKER_00:

With your next inhale, imagine gathering all the scattered pieces of your day. And with your exhale, let them settle like snowflakes, drifting gently to the ground. Feel yourself arrive. Now imagine you're standing in a quiet space. Maybe a hallway, a clearing in the woods, an old theater lobby or somewhere you can't quite place, but feel strangely familiar. Take a moment to let the space build itself around you.

SPEAKER_01:

What do you see? What textures, colors, or shadows surround you? What's the quality of the light? There's no right answer.

SPEAKER_00:

Your imagination knows exactly where to take you. Now ahead of you in this quiet space, you see a doorway.

SPEAKER_01:

A simple doorway. A beautiful doorway.

SPEAKER_00:

A doorway that you recognize, even if you've never seen it before. It's familiar. This doorway leads to a version of you who has said yes. Even a small yes. To a possibility that you've been keeping at arm's length. Take a slow breath here. Imagine your feet on the ground. Feel your heart steadying. Feel the air and the space move around you. It's not too warm and it's not too cool. But it's there. Not because it's extreme, but because it's there. Just feel that air. Sometimes just by noticing what we forget is always there. That's enough. As you step closer to the doorway, notice what you feel.

SPEAKER_01:

Is there excitement? Maybe curiosity?

SPEAKER_00:

A flutter of nerves? Maybe a sense of homecoming. Whatever you feel, all of it belongs. You don't have to know what's on the other side. You simply can be willing to approach.

SPEAKER_01:

Pause here and soften your breath.

SPEAKER_00:

When you reach the doorway, notice that standing on the other side is you.

SPEAKER_01:

But not the you of today. This is the version of you who said yes. Yes to possibility. Yes to expansion. Yes to a gentle shift forward. Take these versions of yourself in.

SPEAKER_00:

Notice their posture, their expression, how they hold their energy. What feels different about them? What feels the same? Allow yourself to absorb their presence without judgment and without expectation. Your future self steps a little closer. And even without words, you can feel what they want for you.

SPEAKER_01:

More ease, more clarity, more space, more trust, more possibility.

SPEAKER_00:

Maybe they smile, maybe they nod, maybe they simply hold your gaze, no judgment.

SPEAKER_01:

What do they want you to know? What message are they offering you?

SPEAKER_00:

Allow it to come through naturally as a phrase or an image, maybe it's a sensation, a knowing. What do they want you to know? What message are they offering you? Take a moment to receive it fully. And now your future self extends their hand. And in it they offer you a small symbol, a token, some kind of object, maybe a light or a word. Tap into what they're offering you. A gift, something that represents the possibility waiting for you. It's not important that you understand it yet.

SPEAKER_01:

Just accept it. Comes from you. Feel its weight. Feel its warmth in your palm. Feel the meaning that it carries.

SPEAKER_00:

This is your reminder that you are already becoming the person who can say yes. When you're ready, imagine gently stepping through the doorway. Intentionally, without fear, without knowing. Just feel the energy shift. Feel your body expand. Even subtly. Feel yourself aligning with the version of you who trusts, who chooses, who is open. There is no grand transformation required here. Possibility often enters through a crack in a whisper, a soft opening, a breath.

SPEAKER_01:

Let this step be enough.

SPEAKER_00:

And as this visualization begins to fade, bring your awareness back to your breath. Inhaling possibility and exhaling anything that feels too tight or too heavy to hold. Let your future self settle gently inside of you. Not separate, not far away, but part of you now. When you're ready, deepen your breath, wiggle your fingers and toes, feel the surface beneath you. Slowly, gently, return to the room. If it feels right, place a hand on your heart and say softly, I am open to what's possible.

SPEAKER_01:

It's within me.

SPEAKER_00:

Now take one more breath and trust that your small yes just now has already opened a door.

SPEAKER_01:

Be well, my friends. Namaste.
